NewCarbon on the Rise

Shifting from this old, linear carbon economy toward the renewable and sustainable “New Carbon Economy” means we can start to close the carbon cycle.

The New Carbon Economy is based on closed carbon cycles.
  • Residual biomass “waste” is used in order to produce fuels, bio-oils, syngas, fertilizers, and other carbon-based value-added products.
  • Carbon from Biochar is the agent that makes this economy work.

  • Not only does a valuable soil amendment result from these processes, but

  • Biochar is also the remedy that recovers value from effluents, turning them into a valuable source of high value products aso saving (e.g nitrogen and phosphorus)

Because its a closed loop cycle, carbon is recaptured. There is no more “leakage” of carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus from the lithosphere into the biosphere.

1 - Self-Powered Edutainment

Inventor Jordan McRae and Shawn Frayne, developer of the flutter technology (Case 12) have designed a new type of technical construction kit which makes it possible to play and power small electronic gadgets with solar energy.

4 - Shoes with a Gym

Beyond exercise, gyms have proven to be an energy-intensive business. People usually go there by car and burn calories on electricity-driven devices.

5 - Fitness-Schuhe

7 - Fibers from Algae

Natural fibers are used not only for clothing, but also in a series of industrial goods. The most commonly used fiber is cotton, but this plant needs much fertilizer and artificial irrigation.

10 - Cellulose as Insulation

For this cold season (at least in the Northern hemisphere) we are happy to present an innovation which can keep your homes cosy and warm in a really sustainable manner.
