The Challenge

Shifting from this old, linear carbon economy toward the renewable and sustainable “New Carbon Economy” means we can start to close the carbon cycle. The New Carbon Economy is based on closed carbon cycles that use residual biomass “waste” in order to produce fuels, bio-oils, syngas, fertilizers, and other carbon-based value-added products.

Every day, about 85 million barrels of oil are burnt Every day, less oil exists on planet Earth than the day before. Here is a small, silent animation which will illustrate the “net energy” principle: Play Animation

Biochar can be the New Carbon platform technology of the 21th century! The time is now to get Biochar to get on to the agenda

The “fossil carbon economy” of today is a linear system that is the root cause of so many of the ever-increasing problems of the modern age.

We transport carbon from the depths of the earth and it ultimately ends up in the atmosphere, rivers and oceans – causing enormous environmental problems, including a change in the composition of the atmosphere, leading to changes in our climate.

This Site is a work in progress and a place for the public to voice their concern that Biochar is not on the agenda of every summit where world leaders meet.

Please post your comments <here> in support of the New Carbon Economy and we will ensure that our elected leaders know that the people they represent care for the future of this planet and want them to put Biochar on the agenda.

Thank you for posting to our <blog>.
